Mount Si Basketball 2024
After making 4 State Championship appearances in the last 5 years, and taking home a title in 2020, the Mount Si Squad for eager to take home the trophy. And that is exactly what they did. Taking out all of the competetion they faced in WA during the season, the team dominated the state. Led by Trevor Hennig, Blake Forrest, and Lattimore Ford, this time was one to remeber. Congratualtions to the 2024 4A State Champions.
Mount Si Football 2023
As new Head Coach, Steve Botulinski makes a return for his second year with the Mount Si boys, they break the barriers of the past. Pushing themselves well into the playoffs and taking down the #3-seeded team, this team made history for themselves. Playing two home playoff games and making it all the way to the Quarter Finals of the State tournament, this was the type of football Mount Si has been needing.

This project is by far the most incredible project I have been apart of. From showing up to Tryouts on Day 1 to Celebrating after the winning the State Championship, there was never a dull moment with this team. I want to thank the players for their immense dedication to the sport and in return my project; none of this would be possible without you all. Thank you to the Booster Club for taking me on board and supporting this project. And thank you to the valley for once again never disappointing to show everyone how we do it around here. Once again congratulations to the new State Champions you deserve it.
Over the Summer of 2023, the Summer Solstice Tournament returned to beautiful Seattle, Washington. The tournament has been continuously running for almost 20 years and capturing some of the highlights and energy behind the teams was an amazing experience.
Wa Lax 2023
One of the PNW’s biggest rivalries makes its return in the 2023 season and it could not have been a closer game. With O’Dea maintaining the lead for the majority of the game, Seattle Prep makes a comeback in the 4th Quarter to send it to overtime. Seattle Prep then takes the Win with a last-minute game-winner from Henri Downer.
Small schools, big highlights. Just because these 2A schools may be smaller, does not limit their talent at all. These teams both carried some amazing players and put up a great game against each other with Ballard taking the win over Roosevelt.
I was lucky enough to spend an entire season with an amazing Mount Si Basketball Team. They are decorated with different trophies and accomplishments, and was one of my favorite projects.

This was my first time documenting and video graphing and it did not disappoint. This team breaths a culture un like any other and was an amazing experience to shadow them all season.
